We are all People of Peace

Austin - based People of Peace is the latest project from singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Amsellem. Daniel first gained recognition in the US when he relocated to Seattle from his hometown of Ashdod, Israel in 2018. His former project, Amsellem, caught the attention of Seattle’s KEXP, where he played a live studio session. 

 

A move to Austin in 2022 coincided with the evolution of Amsellem’s artist journey: People of Peace. Growing up in Israel and serving in the military was formative to Daniel’s character and lifeview - teaching him about people and relationships, and ultimately how everything is about respect, kindness, and love. Fittingly, in Hebrew “Amsellem” means “People of Peace”. Through soft indie folk harmonies and passionate alternative rock tones, People of Peace intentionally communicates a meditative mindset that aims to inspire love, kindness, and gratitude in listeners. A debut EP Intertidal was released in 2022, and an exploratory collaboration track "Hays" (feat. Oyó) in early 2023
